Prof. Mieke Caris, Project Developer
Project Website During the spring of 1997, Prof. Mieke Caris of the University of Twente, the Netherlands, visited several major universities in the United States. Her main goal was to obtain an overview of the instructional design process here to compare with that in the Netherlands. Beginning at the convention of the Association for Educational Communons and Technology in Albuquerque, Professor Caris then visited Arizona State University, San Diego State University and Florida Central University. She developed a web site to docum ent her travels from both a professional and personal point of view, and updated it from various places as she travelled. Prof. Caris' comments on her experiences in developing her series of web pages are very pertinent for anyone who plans a similar project, no matter what the end pu rpose. She learned as she went, and we can learn from her here. In addition, her thoughts on our country are also very insightful and often entertaining. |
